    2005 Mustang

I picked up these two pics from the web and put them together for comparison sake. As I mentioned in Don Meyer's C6 thread I'm a little disappointed in the production unit in the top half of the picture. It's lost some of the character of the concept car in the bottom half. Too much of the current Mustang design has been put into it.

Lowering the production model and mounting some bigger wheels will probably help, but the nose is going to be tougher to fix. As I said before, it might grow on me, but the concept didn't have to!!

Okay, forgot to post the picture, and the stupid program won't let me cancel my own post and start over!

I just bought a 1:18 scale diecast of the concept car. It is absolutely gorgeous! I hadn't seen any of the "real" Mustang pics, so my thanks to Bob for posting it. I can say even in it's final form, I'm happy with it. I still need to see other views before I decide. Now let's hope Ford and several aftermarket places make a bunch of custom pieces for it!

Yeah Bob,the concept car was way cooler,
only thing I like on the production car is the rear peep windows.....

I agree Bob - more of the current car than I would have liked, however I think its a turn in the right direct plus I am sure some of the special editions/Cobra will improve the aesthetics.

I also would have liked to see some more HP for the estimated $27K GT price (which is a solid axle).

I do, however, think the interior appears first rate - very nice and unique - I wish Chevy would have done the same with the C6.

    Happy holidays to all!

Thanks for the pics, Bob. The car needs a little help, wheels would do wonders for it. The rest of the manufacturers need to step up to the plate now.

Well, well what a difference between the concept and production. All they did was to give the current production a nose job then add a portal window on backside. Very clever cost savings from Ford but it won't make many more converts.
