    Gas tank straps

I am about to re install the gas tank into my 60 chevy and am wondering if I should use some rubber insulator (anti squeak) strips betwean the straps and the tank? Whats you concensus on them? Necessary or not? I do not think it had them originally...

Think I would, if the tank shifts around at all, metal on metal can cause some noise and some problems.....

I agree with Dave, while most didn't come with them it couldn't hurt if you have a set handy.
I've NEVER seen a car come from the factory that couldn't be improved.....

Right or wrong, I thought the same thing, so I siliconed black seat belt webbing on the inside of the straps, works and looks good...
