I've never named them myself, but my Ex-wife and Ex-Girlfriend named them for me. Strange, but they both picked EXACTLY the same name. They called it THAT DAMN CAR.
In fact on our divorce papers where it normally has Irreconcilable Differences, ours just says "THAT DAMN CAR".

It was commonplace to name your rod back in the 50's and 60's. You either painted the name on yourself or had it done professionally by a sign painter.PLANET EARTH, INSANE ASYLUM FOR THE UNIVERSE.

My wife calls it "his or my baby". But I call it things that shouldn't be printed in a family oriented forum.Bob

Mine is named FLAT4RD. For obvious reasons. It is running a flat 4 motor. It's a 34 ford pickup that's 48" tall at the top of the cab. Any way you look at it it's the FLAT4RD.

I love car names! It gives them "personality" that they would not normally have. If you are doing some sort of graphics, that enhance the name, it is even more powerful. Also, if you use something, like a song title, that brings to mind an era that the car shares....even better.
