See John, that's the kind of deals I hoped they would have. I imagine with the economy the way it is that lots of commercial type equipment is being sold off. Not that I like to profit from other people's misfortune. As for the Garlits thing, yep, still thinking about it, what is the exact date you have settled on?
Richard, thanks for the very nice words...........something I have come to expect from you at all times. As for the magazine thing, yeah, someone did mention to an Editor that they might want to do a little thing on a home type garage, and our names came up. I was very flattered by it, but we really don't have anything to show, most of our cars are only partially done. As for our shop, you know those neat, well organized ones that you see in the magazines.........well, that ain't us.
Ours is more like the old machine shop where the guy had to blow an inch of dust off of whatever he was working on and had to dig through box after box until he found what he was looking for. So, I don't think we are magazine ready quite yet.
After Dan's RPU is running we plan a major cleaning and organizing party at the shop. I started already by going through all the bolts and stuff and am getting them into cabinets where we can actually find something we know we have. Just in the last couple of days I have sorted probably $ 1,000 worth of grade 8 bolts we couldn't find. We would keep buying more because we didn't know these existed.
Now, if a magazine ever wants to do an article on how to build a car in spite of yourself, we are good to go.
