All The Bolt On's Are Gone
You know i have only been in the vintage tin hobby a little more then a year now . When i was shopping for the A I noticed then that so many where missing everything but the body . Doors , fenders , even all the window mldg's I mean anything that could get unbolted is gone . Some and alot i mean even the chassis is gone .
Finding a complete car that is dated say from the 40's down is a challenge now days . Buck just made a great score and my persistence to find a complete car was a big ordeal with alot of hours shopping . I passed on the first one a 31 A with rumble seat guy had it for years clean solid car garaged for years and years . I dont think if i ran up on onother if i was looking I would hesitate and not have it on a trailer asap .
Was times that bad back then that people would scrounge all the steel for scrap that they could find .
Sorry for your loss of friend Mike McGee, Shine. Great trans men are few and far between, it seems. Sadly, Mike Frade was only 66 and had been talking about retirement for ten years that I know...
