Seems like a great price with the extra's and the work that is done . Ask for a pic though seems like when i look everyone has a little different opinion to what is good shape on a 80 year old car .

If you want a free suggestion, here it is: Go look at the car. Take a note pad and calculator with you and inventory what is there. Go thru the inventory list and establish a value of each part....dont be too liberal or too tight on the value....and really assess each part....Is the frame hacked or is it a really nice job with good welds? Do the doors close and latch? Is the body rusted thru? Is the front axle and components really new or just new to the seller? All this stuff can either be dirt or diamonds....remember when your buddy told you about the "beautiful girl" that turned out to look like the South end of a Northbound horse? The seller is trying to make the horse sound good....you gotta look at the goods!!

As Robot said, take a close look at what is there. An 80 year old frame isn't good for much other than a pattern for new work with 2x4 steel. If the body, front end etc,are as described, yeah I'd say it is worth about that price, but I'd still flash 3 and see if he bites. Hank

Again, take a real good look at the condition. A standard unhacked and minimally rusted but otherwise complete Model A 2door body shell alone is worth $1000 - $3000. An 80 year old Ford 'A' chassis WILL HAVE cracked cross members, usually at rivet holes or the tranny mounts. These can be fixed, but usually it is best to either build or buy a new frame. That ad says the price is an asking price so negotiations are expected.

I wonder if he'd sell off part of it without the frame? Take some pics and post them.
