    Made some software changes last night to address site problems.

     



    I know it's been frustrating on the site the last several weeks, and believe me, I have shared that frustration! There's a lot of software interacting together, and sometimes narrowing down the cause of the problem is difficult. php/mysql/memcache/vbulletin/isapirewrite and various versions of each of those to find the problem can be and has been very time consuming.

    Since the changes last night things have been stable, and I am hoping this trend continues, but of course will be here to fix things if not. Hang in there, and sorry for the inconvenience.

    Thanks Brett, I just went through an installation of an 8-core parallel system with 98% software support from an academic Pro after I klugded together the hardware and the modern software selection is totally bewildering; we stand on the shoulders of many, many developers so I commend your struggle with the PC-Internet software; especially since it seems stable now.

    Haven't really had a problem with this site lately. Couple of weeks ago, yes , but not lately. Besides I usually assume that it's my PC or my network.
