    Try pinching the socket in your Rambler to bring it back to round and to the correct size.

    Usually works for me.

    Modern plastic sockets, modern bulbs, cut the sheet metal right out of the donor car, tack weld or JB Weld it in and you have modern bulbs plus they are a little brighter.

    I did a tech piece on several different bulbs, voltage, watts, candlepower etc. with lots of pics.

    It's on both the HAMB and the Rodding Roundtable.

    Matt, don't mix the tail light bulbs. An 1157 will bleed back through the 1077 and probably cause your dash lights to come on every time you press on the brake.
