    This guy sounds like he's got the right idea. Apparantly he's been selling plans for these build it yourself cars since the 1980's and has done pretty well. 50-60 MPG on most of them and look pretty fun to drive. I might have to look seriously look into this.

    kinda looks like something out of starwars the the mpg factor looks great..

    I figured this would be right up your alley, Dave. I ordered the plans for the Doran. For $50, what the heck. If I can build a 50 mpg+ vehicle for $5000 (in all my spare time ), I'll use it for a work commuter. Looks like fun to try it. After my Plymouth is done, of course. No, honey, I'm not buying ANOTHER project! (yet)
