got the Rambler entered in the Syracuse Nats

Just entered my old Rambler in the Syracuse Nats.. Can't wait to go. It does not have enough go power for me to comfortably make the 3.5 hr trip to the other house on the interstates, so I'm taking Rt 7 to Whitney point, and then taking Rt 79 to Ithaca. and 96 to Seneca Falls.. not sure of the rt after that... should make for a nice ride thru the countryside tho.

In Ithaca take 34 or 89. --one side of the lake or the other. Both will run into 5 and 20. take 5 east to 695 and come up on the back side of the fairgrounds. My panel with short tires and 4:10s doesn't like interstates. 89 is a nice drive along the lake and will come out alittle ahead of Seneca Falls on 5, 34 will take you to Auburn and 5

We have a house in Ovid on 96. I'll likely go up the day b4 the show start. I forgot about 89, that is a nice ride down the lake side and there is a cross over road between 89 and 96, in Ovid.. That comes out by pauls mower Repair and the Montezuma winery. I know the way to Auburn, just beyond Auburn I was clueless.

I can find my way to 96 and 89 in Ithaca, anything other than that and I'm lost.. too many 1 way streets. at 1 time my mom and I were driving thru, got turned around a bit, and my mom didn't realise it was a 4 lane 1 way.. needless to say there were a lot of angry drivers.

It's a good show, we have entered my dads '72 C10 the past 2 years, but this year due to gas prices, we didn't.. Truck gets between 8& 10 MPG, and my Rambler should get at least 12 or so.. so we decided to enter the Rambler.

If you go up 96 you will have to put up with The Grassroots festival in Trumansburg but it should not be bad, We went thru it both saturday and sunday last year. Into Ithaca on 79 west will be one way in the city . use the center lane when you get to 13 , turn right on 13 and go to the far lane. next light turn left, This would be 96 north, Center lane is 96 ,right lane is 89(turn left at the next light).
