New car for me
I previously posted some pics of a '48 Anglia I was purchasing....thought it was a done deal when the owner suddenly decided not to sell... real bummer.
So I've been looking and searching . I finally found this one at a price I couldn't pass up. It was an estate sale, custom built in WA. state by a rod builder out of Spokane, 350 zz4 crate, 350 auto, heat/air, power windows, leather interior, power steering, brakes, cruise, Bose sound system. And 1700 miles on it.
Wasn't really what I was looking for but the car and price was right"Breathe in... Breathe out... then move on with life. Life's too short to sweat the small stuff"

that is a good looking car, I liked the Anglia better. But that car looks a little more user friendly and something you could drive for long trips and keep your spine in alignment.
Live everyday like it were your last, someday it will be.

G.R. congrats on the new car, that's a cool looking ride, hope you enjoy many miles with it. It looks like a Street Beast kit. I see several details that makes me think that, like the one piece body, front & rear fenders, & running boards, and the way the rear bumper mounts to the body. Got a pic of the dash?

Yup it is a Street Beast body with a custom Michaels chassis w/ MII type tubular front end w/QA1 adjustable coilovers, 9" Ford w/ 4link and panhard w/QA1 adjustable coilovers at the rear. It was built by The Rod Shop in Spokane. Excellent workmanship throughout and the paint is show quality, the body was prepped/finished right. The body is very solid, the doors close and latch properly, A lot of time and thought went into the the electrical system, it is very neat and orderly and all connections are well marked, the fuse panels are easy to access. Ceramic coated tubular headers and Flowmaster exhaust, AutoMeter gauges.
It drives and handles excellent, plenty of "giddy-up and go" when you put your foot into it, comfortable seats. I know it doesn't have the value of a steel Vicky but for the price I paid it is a darn nice ride."Breathe in... Breathe out... then move on with life. Life's too short to sweat the small stuff"

Very slick. Sorry about the Anglia, but I think you did just fine in the end.

I still want an Anglia but everyone I've found so far was either a full blown drag car or " a pig with lipstick " if you know what I mean, needing more work & dollar$ after purchase than for the price asked ...they weren't worth it.
My lovely wife absolutely loves the Vicky"Breathe in... Breathe out... then move on with life. Life's too short to sweat the small stuff"

That is about the best looking sedan body a guy could ask for. Very slick. If it was mine I wouldn't change a thing although I probably would not have opted for the trend-o-rod crate engine if I had paid for the build.

I'm going to have the glass tinted 'cuz the summer sun and temps are brutal here, then install running board mats because inevitably people step on the running boards getting in or out and there are already some small scratches in the paint in that area near both doors,. The builder installed supports for the running boards to the chassis so they won't flex under a persons weight...nice touch, I saw a full fendered Street Beast coupe at a local cruise night last night and there were no supports under that cars running boards....guess that is why he had a sign on both windows "DO NOT STAND ON RUNNING BOARDS"
Other than those two things I don't think I'll be doing anything to the car other than driving it."Breathe in... Breathe out... then move on with life. Life's too short to sweat the small stuff"
Getting closer on this project. What a lot of work!
