She's finally rolling, not too far though...
Hi everybody!
I've not posted for a couple of months, been at the grind stone, I have checked in and read couple of sticky's for help and Thank you for that. Reason for the post is, I got the best compliment I think I ever could yesterday from the old lady. I spent most of Saturday morning in the garage drilling the final running board to fender holes, finished lining up the front end and buttoned her up, slapped on the roller treads. I fired her up just to her her run and dream of the not so distant future of going down the road. My wife comes out to check on me, she does that to make sure I'm not dead under the car, stands back in amazement and says," Dam, that looks like a hot rod". I smile and said "No SH*! Honey", she laughs and says, I'm not kidding, it really looks freakin cool with the front end on, it looks like a car! When can we drive her? I'm not one to let the wife down, so in went the folding chairs and around the block we went, oh yea, after I aired up to get out of the driveway, ooppss.
I don't know about you all, but that's better than any car show trophy...I can see the light at the end of the tunnel, alignment this week, windows the next week and so on...

She's beautiful so far, the paint looks fantastic! I like the color combo, very cool. What are you running under the hood? That is such a cool place to be in a build, I bet you and the wife had a ball in the chairs!"Sunshine, a street rod and a winding beautiful Ozarks road is truely Bliss!"

Nicely done. I remember my first boat, where we used lawn chair to sit in right after we got the engine to fire up the first time. We put her in the water, got up on a plane, felt like we were on cloud nine. Then we ran out of gas, and the boat stoped very quickly crashing all over in the lawn chairs, all laughing our @!# off!" "No matter where you go, there you are!" Steve.

Thanks everybody, it's my second hot rod, first total build from scratch. The other is the 68 Vet, some may not think it's a hot rod, whatever, I do! I did have to get a another oil pan, had a Miloden 7qt, to low, have to go 5qt, guess my measurement was with a fishing ruler...I'll add a couple of more pix, not too much to see, yet......Again, thank you for the encouraging words..
This one is really hard to see, can't get a good shot, but I took flamed embosed Harley fenders and welded them in to my front fenders.I must say, it looks bitchin in person..
