    Scammer from Las Vegas

Some dude called our shop today from a bar in Las Vegas, NV. My Dad answered the phone and this guy proceeded to tell him how he had a '32 3-window in driving condition for only $3,000 and an all original ''69 Camaro 396 SS also in running condition for only $5500. Without hesitation, my old man asked him if he'd take a 3rd party check for both of them. After about 15 seconds of dead silence, the dude hung up.

I thought this was hilarious. Just thought I'd share it with you guys.

It's sometimes amazing how greed will overpower common sense.

Don't ever trust a cold call, especially if it's from "Vegas, baby". This town has more crooks per square mile than anywhere else in the world, and each one has a different reason for their felonious or larcenous nature. I live here, I should be immune to it, but I have been burned a couple of times, by some of the most sincere and honest looking folks you ever saw. Tends to make a feller a bit skeptical.
