Depends on where it's at. $250 to $750 I'd say.

Since I own one and know what parts can cost and seeing the condition of the grille and front bumper $750 To $1,000,put 1954 Ford in search on ebay and you will be surprised! I have seen good used hood hinges go for $350-$400 a pair The 52-54's have come up in price a lot in the last year. They are real easy to swap a 302 into also,if you get it feel free to pm me I'm a good parts scrounger.

The best way to win an ebay auction, is to wait silent without ever biddidg. Then at the last 1 minute of the auction, bid the most you are willing to pay for the car. As soon as you do that someone else that is wanting it also will counter offer (hopefully lower then your highest amount) By the time he hits it a second time the auction will have already closed. The key is to already have your bid in place a couple minutes ahead and run a timer to get you in the one minute zone, then hit place bid at the last minute.

Also there are companies called ebay snipes, you pay them to watch the auction for you, and have it set up in a data base to electronically bid the last 2 seconds of the auction and sweep the rug from under your feet. So unless your up against one of these turds you should be good to win with the above method.

Unless you have a way to get papers on it,it's not worth much more than scrap for fixing up. Parting it out would be a different story. Hank

it's not that hard to get replacement titles in most states. I have done it in NY, and it is as easy as 123

This is best if you have a high speed connection

I hate tha fact that most auctions end while I'm at work. The minute I bid on some Ford parts, someone usually will up the ante. One Guy for weeks, kept jacking up the auction price on every F1 part posted on Ebay, he would run them way up and then bail without having to pay the premium price that the final bidder placed. I lost three grills this way!
Waiting to the last moment if someone has bid higher than you is the best tactic, to avoid potential bidding wars.
I also think the car is worth whatever you feel it's worth. If you have a specific budget in mind for the build, stick to it, because it will cost alot more in the end. But if you love this car, as does your son, go for it, the father son builds are the best(worth way more than the money it cost) for the experiences you'll both remember for the rest of your lives! Each and every father son build featured here shows the pride of the Dads and the "cool" factor of the son's for their project. I grew up without a Dad(divorced and uninterested), and wish my Dad had the relationship with me to do such a cool thing! Good for you, and we want to see posts on whatever you guys build!

I can relate to a fatherless home. I grew up learning from my friends. My dad was never around. But when he was????? Always would hear too much power for you to handle. But I built a 59 Galaxie that would keep up or beat most Vette's. So being a single father might pay off? My son talks about having his owen ride to take to shows to show and cruize in. He's up for it.
On the bidding process, ya I have missed a few just becouse of the time that it would end. MKy son likes the looks of this 54 and also a 74 Ply. that I am bidding on also. And what if I get both???? Fun times.

Looks like a good, solid car! Ideal for your proposed father and son project.... I sure wouldn't think too long about going as high as $500 for the car. Friend of mine sold a '53 in similar condition a few months back for $850.....

Kansas title info (I think it changed in the last 18 years) Even in states where it's relatively simple it can cost $100 or more plus your time.

I snipe everything I buy on ebay with this service, it costs pennys and puts the bid in the last 5 seconds. Bidding early is the same as bidding against yourself. Besides most stuff is bid this way and you won't have time to manually outsnipe them anyway.
