Wondered if anyone was coming or already here (Pigeon Forge, Tennessee) for the Grand Run this weekend?? We took today off from the shop to go up and look around and hand out some business cards. Probably about 3000 cars in town already, that was at 9 this morning (friday!!) . Can't wait to get up there tomorrow! If anybody is in town, gimme a shout and I'll try to look you up, LOVE to meet fellow Club members!!! Probably take some pix tomorrow and post some of the cooler stuff as well. Hope to hear from ya'll!!

We just drove home last night from Athens, Ga last night, (bought a golf cart from the U of Ga) got home at 12:30 am this morning, to Deer Lodge, Tn. I got gas down there at about 8:00pm for $3.76, it was last time we saw a station with gas (except a hand full) and it was up to $4.49 except shell, they were mostly at $4.99.

I'm glad my S-15 gets 30 mpg loaded! I still have over a 1/2 tank

maxxmuscle, I still am going to stop by your shop some day, I seem to busy all the time, or taking a break from being busy.

I sold my Trike to a guy in Sunbright, he stopped by and asked Peach or apple? he gave me a guart or peach shine! Woo, Hot danm! I can only sip a taste of it.

Here is a pic of the car he drove over in. That's his freind in the pic, not me.

    Don,
Our yard is 7 acers deep, with tall woods around 3 3/4 sides, front 4 acres are mowed a wire fence and a path goes all the way around it. The back 2 acers of which is wooded has a dry pond, we have a full pound in the middle which has fish in it. (we're having it stocked with small mouth bass & blue gill, about 150 fish to clean it.) It has cat fish in it now. Between the front pond and the back yard of the house PO put a large pasture for 3 horses for about 6 months so it did't kill the grass off at all.

So we bought a '95 Yamaha golf cart truck, (golf cart with a metal box with tall gate) we are pulling the body off, repainting it purple, lifting it 6" putting on 23x11x10 off road tires which lifts it another 3", take off the governor to get more power, put my wench on it, no top, short windshield, and then use to work the yard with!

The pic of the one with the box is ours now, the others are the same model, and what it look like soon but with a box!

I'm going to clean all around the pond, it bigger than it looks.

I just returned home last night. We rented a 4 bedroom house in Gatlinburg for 5 days. I was there from Thursday until Sunday. Good Lord it was hot walking around there on Saturday. I think we put about 7 miles on the old feet. 3-1/2 miles down one side and 3-1/2 miles back on the other side to the Pancake House where we parked the van. I think about 80 % of the cars there were for sale.....whats up with that? And as for the sale prices on those cars there.....Good God Gerdie! Other than that it was a great 4 day weekend......will probably attend next year as well.
Life is like a hotrod......it goes fast, so keep one foot close to the brake. a30coupe

Yeah it was HOT!!!! We parked at the Exxon station (down across from the pancake house) on friday and walked all the way up to the front, crossed and back down, LONG walk in that sun!!! The prices were for a sellers market for sure!! I think that is part of the big draw though. They have the 2 shows back-to-back weekends and it draws a HUGE crowd, so everyone brings thier cars to sell. Most of the price tags I looked at were 2 or 3 times what they should have been, BUT, walking around saturday I got the feeling that the ones that were really for sale were being sold. Lots of SOLD written across windshields, and alot of price dropping by 6pm on saturday night! If you have money to spend, its a great week to find a new project or that certain car you've been looking for!!!

I was there from wednesday till sunday. I waited till afternoon to walk and look at cars cause of the heat. A good place to park is patriots park, it's free! My brother and I drove our camaros on the tail of the dragon on thursday, good God the curves. It was pretty fun, and ate up most of the day, plus there are pictures of us driving the tail on moonshinephoto.com. If you're interested, we're on page 7, on 9-11-08. I'm driving the orange and black camaro, my brother is in the midnight blue one. Over all, a great time.
    I ain't dumb, I just ain't been showed a whole lot!
