    Fender braces

I can't remember If I asked this already, but does anyone know the difference between 28-29 & 30-31 front fender braces? Or can you use one on the other? Thanks for any help.

The '28-'29 fender braces are about 2" shorter than the '30-'31 braces and are more rounded at the upper end to conform to the fenders. The '28-'29 are not interchangeable with the '30-'31. The '28, '29, & early '30 fender braces are of forged material while the later '30 and '31 are stamped steel.

Here is a picture of a table full of 28,29, fender braces and one aftermarket fender brace. The early 30 fender braces looked like the 28/29 except that it had a bit different shape to the last 4" at the top end. There is no late 30/31 fender braces in the picture--They are made of pressed sheet metal.--Brian
