Pro street tires
What are your opinions on the Pro street tire selections. M/T Sportsman are very bouncy, Does anyone have the new style M/T's? How about the hoosiers? I'm in the market for a set but know very little about any other than the old Sportsmans. Thanks Mitch

I run the Mickey Sportsman Pros and yes they are kinda bouncy but makes up for my stiff rear ProTrac radials come in a good pro street size (I had 375/60R15) but in my experience and that I've seen of others running them, they wear unevenly. You may consider a MT radial... I've heard the MT's hold up better than the Hoosiers on the street (but I'll take a Hoosier at the strip any day!).... I know this isn't much help.... in short, look at the radials and you will get less bouncy.

Hoosiers....Hook good and almost tolerable in wet weather... Sooooooo much better then the old bias ply stuff!!!! We switched to Hoosiers on the strip a couple years back, and followed later with their street tires.... Don't know about the wear thing that Skids brought up, but then is it really a consideration for you?????? Without a lot of burnouts and stuff, they live quite well on the street IMO.....Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, Live for Today!

i have had them all but m/t the hoosier lasted one night and 1/2 of the tread was missing nail it off a stop light and the car started to chunk the tread off quick time is right damn thing s .i like the bf goodrich drag radials all around use and i am putting some power thru a 10 inch tire .for the track i would run slicks but i just have slow street cars with small engines in themIrish Diplomacy ..the ability to tell someone to go to Hell ,,So that they will look forward to to the trip

How much air did you have in them Pat???? I've never tried the Goodrich drag radials..... Had great luck with the Hoosiers, not a lot of life, but they sure do hook good with the 5 speed---or maybe the soft lok clutch has a lot to do with it too???????Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, Live for Today!

Used to have a huge supply of the McCreary Dirt tires... The local circle burners would get them hot and the tire would get too hard a compound and they'd give them away.... A quick dip in the tire softener, and one heck of a good street tire at very little cost!!!!! Now they run a 9" tire, medium compound and work great on the street, but they're about $90 each...might as well get the radials if you gotta spend that much.....Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, Live for Today!
