Window counting
Well since i picked up the 37 i have had a habit of calling it a 5 window coupe . But i have enough fingers to count 6 , but there not called that . So is 37 for the first year they just called them a Coupe and they left out counting windows . Didn't check but i don't think i've seen a 3 window for 37.

I didn't think Ford made a 3-window in '37, I thought it was the fiberglass guys that came out with the '37 3-window.

The windshield doesn't count as a "window". '36 was the last year Ford did a 3 window coupe. There were two coupe models in '37, the "normal" like yours and then the Club Coupe that had a slightly longer and different shaped roof, both having 5 windows.Your Uncle Bob, Senior Geezer Curmudgeon

I don't recall seeing any Ford reference to window count after '36, just the reference "coupe".
I've seen individuals refer to, for example, a '40 coupe as a "5 window", but they obviously didn't count. I suspect it's the presence of a quarter window that triggers the thought of "5 window".Your Uncle Bob, Senior Geezer Curmudgeon

Ok gang. It's been awhile. With everything that was going on taking care of my mom's affairs and making a few needed mods to the Healey, it was June before anything really got rolling on this...
