So, while Don was basking in the warm Florida sun, rubbing elbows with movie stars, Dan and I were knee deep in moving. Don did offer to come help, but we had it handled, so we really didn't need him . Besides, he is still Star Struck from meeting his hot rod hero. (ok, mine too) Now Don can say he has met Norm Grabowski (at Daytona a few years ago) and now Milner.........how cool is that?
I just got my computer hooked back up a few minutes ago from the move.....I was having forum withdrawl. At least we got to sleep in the new place last night, so that is something, I guess.

I offered to help with their move! Moving stinks! I now have met two of my hot rodding heros, Norm and Milner!
I agree Bill, It would be nice to have a roof sometimes, save the roadster for the beach weather! I promised my girlfriend that my next car would have a back seat of some sort for her 5 year old daughter to ride with us. Thats why the tbird was purchased.
Now if I could only meet Danica Patrick!Don Jr.

I remember asking Paul how the coupe drove. He said it was scarey. The fron suspension, steering and brakes were old loose feeling. Back in the 80's frame builders solved the drivability 4 bar problems. It might be hard to stay with the exact front suspension and steering look and be safe. I agree with the above comments on the shortened grill. For a while I followed a company who put one of the first "Milner" 5W bodies out in fiberglass. Can't think of the name. They bought the rights to the poster business (special edition numbered - had to have it)."Chance favors the prepared mind"

I saw Paul Le Mat at a Big 3 San Diego Swap meet several years ago. He was signing autographs and walking around and talking to people just like everyone else was doing. If you didn't know who he was, he could have walked right by you unnoticed. VERY nice and "down to earth" kind of guy. The promoters had a 5W yellow coupe sitting behind his autograph table but anyone familiar with Milner's Coupe knew it wasn't the real deal. If I remember right, that Deuce sported a 6x2 offy manifold which was a dead giveaway.

He was like that at this show too. Very down to earth, great guy. He had a yellow duece behind him here too. (Not original) The induction used on the original coupe was a 4 two barrel set up made by Man-a-fre. Offy makes a simular setup too. Here is a picture of the original car setup. Don Jr.Don Jr.

I know, I am always torn in which way to go or what car I want to build. The T bird was pushed into the middle of the shop a week ago to start some progress on it and then I met Milner and have my heart set on a duece coupe. And of course there is the 29 Model A sedan project in my head, a 58 Plymouth fury, a 68 Bullitt mustang, 68 Charger................and every car I find on Craigslist, ebay and the classifieds. It stinks loving cars so much! I think a duece would be cool and if you corrected some of the flaws with the Milner coupe (Grill chopped too much, etc) it would be a cool rod. Too many decisions!
