    Factory Five kits

Noticed the Factory Five ad here on the site. Looked around and I really like the '33 kit. Anyone here have any experience with their kits? I've got the fever for one. $20,000 for everything except:

    Engine/Transmission/Rear End
    Wheels and Tires
    Fuel pump
    Battery

    Here is the website: http://www.factoryfive.com/index.html

    Any feedback welcome.

I've built/rebuilt 14 of their MK 1, MKII, and MK II.5 Roadster kits
Also finished off their original Silver prototype "Spyder" for Carlisle back a few years.

As for the new "33" kit, some of the builders are complaining about body fit issues, other than that they love what they've got on their hands.

Here is a link to the "spec" builders (the most experienced FFR related hobbiests got a few kits early on)

I've known Dave Smith (owner of Factory Five) since his businesses very early days, straight forward, tell it like it is type of guy (with a little salesmanship thrown in for good measure ).......You'll like his products as they do a lot of engineering before bringing it to actual market.....If you call and speak with him, tell him "mrmustang" says hello......

I like the look of them, and it is a great concept, but I wonder how hard it would be to climb in and out of with the frame in the way.

Looks like a great place to start. I love the Type 65 coupe modeled after the Daytona. Now I just need to win the lottery!

It doesn't look any different than any other hotrod. Here are a couple of pics from their site.

A friend of mines friend just ordered one. Glen said his friend should be getting it in mid-Jan and Glen and I plan on going over to see it when it arrives.
If they are built and engineered the way the FFR Cobra is it should be a well sorted kit.

Gee if you buy a FFR coupe will all the streetrod/hot rod guys call it a "kit car" and shun you????
