Somebody on another site questioned my test of the spring rate. Do y'all have any input on the subject?
If i'm not misunderstanding your proposed suspension, the control arms will have a leveraging effect on the spring, and the strength of spring will have to be greater than what your trial setup indicates.

I think that would depend greatly on where you mount the lower control arms. The farther under the better leverage??????Charlie

It needs shackles and hangers.
the same axle that gave up the spring pack
The plan is to cut and turn the end.

TADA!!
I decided I need to see what the rear spring rate was like before I got too carried away with the front.....
The springs are soft on both ends. The rear sagged more than I was expecting. It needs to be adjusted up an inch or so.
I sent this pic to my wife and asked if the noticed anything different. ...her response was "new duck tape?"

Thanks. Its hard to get a good pic shows how cool of a shape that random sheetmetal pieces can make. The cowl area is gonna be neat when it is all welded together and and painted a solid color. This is the best picture. The small red piece is the piece that came from the door opening. This was the first time I tried it at the top of the dash. I like it.

Good to see you back onto the Roofus Special as I have missed your updates mate, I liked the " new Duck Tape comment" from your observed wife too, made me chuckle. Looking good and is it on the floor for good now or will you put her back on the table to enable a better working height?I maybe a little crazy but it stops me going insane.

Photoshopped by a guy on another forum....vintage jag parts blended in for a fenderless XK120 look.
