Flipper--when I shortened up the sedan body to make the cab for my roadster pickup, there were virtually no sub rails. I made the floor from 3/16" mild steel" plate, and welded in those 1/8" gussets to stiffen everything up. That way I get zero flexing, and the door gaps remain constant.Old guy hot rodder

I'm currently using the thinnest masonite I could find. Don't use cardboard, humidity will eventually cause it to warp. That's the reason I'm replacing mine now. I'm also using 3M dual lock tape to secure the panel to the doors. Better than velcro. Found some on eBay. Hellovalot easier than using clips which I started to use and got into a nightmare trying to align them.
If your not wanting to do a whole lotta work then checkout these site.

They sell molded universal panels and all you do is get your fabric and cover them.. They too recommend using the 3M dual lock tape.

Ok gang. It's been awhile. With everything that was going on taking care of my mom's affairs and making a few needed mods to the Healey, it was June before anything really got rolling on this...
