Good morning! Thanks for the welcome. And yes, I'm Angela! Just 2 girls in the family so no son to leave the Henry J to.
I'll be reading and trying to learn a bit when I get time here and there, likely you'll see a lot more of me once I get the car here!

Welcome to CHR, Ang! It's been quite a while since I saw any HJ's and frankly none were as nice as yours. Sorry to hear of the loss of your dad, like others here, I lost mine, but that was a long time ago. I was fortunate to have him for as long as I did, never got much from him in the way of cars, but I learned a lot about boats and piloting boats. His idea of a hot rod was his 57 FI Chevy, and mine was something older and uglier. But it was still precious time together.
You should get a lot of fun out the HJ and I hope you enjoy it as much as your dad would have.Bob
A good friend will come and bail you out of jail....but a true friend will be sitting next to you saying..."Damn....that was fun!

Sorry about the sex change we performed on you. Aw, you're one of the guys now that you have that neat Henry J to drive around in.

When you get to a computer that will show pics Ang posted up some more pics in her gallery..................................you might say it's tubbed.Your Uncle Bob, Senior Geezer Curmudgeon
It's much easier to promise someone a "free" ride on the wagon than to urge them to pull it.

Welcome to the club, Angela. When you get the car home, let us know... Got some friends in the Des Moines area and I'm quite sure they'd be glad to give the car a look-see and offer some advice and assistance on it's completion.... When my Dad died, we had to sell his cars.... Six boys and six brother-in-laws, all gearheads. Selling them was the only thing to do to prevent a huge, huge war!!!
Sorry for your loss, I know how tough it is. My Dad was my best friend from the time I was about 15 and finally realized he really did know a heck of a lot more about life then I did!!!!Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, Live for Today!

Welcome to the forum, Ang. My condolences about your dad. I know how you feel. I grew up in Marathon, a small town north of Storm Lake, and I go to the GoodGuys show at the fairgrounds in Des Moines nearly every year over the July 4th weekend. A number of us (from other street rod forums) always get together there. Think about entering the car so we can get a look at your dad's craftsmanship and meet you.

Welcome Angela:
Like other who have posted, I too send my sincerest condolences for the loss of your father. I lost my father in 1995 and while I know he's building cars and model trains in heaven, there's not a day that goes by I do not think of him!
This forum is truly an amazing bunch of men and women who share a love for most things motorized and especially those that resemble cars of a wide variety and ilk! Deep technical information and tons of patience for those who genuinely are seeking some help or guidance with their projects.
Of equal importance is the personal support and encouragement that is shared among a lot of strangers that truly care for one another. The cars may be the intro, but there is a catalyst among this group that is rare.
I hope you'll spend some time here and get to know us. While none would even pretend to replace your father, you'll find that you've just inherited a great bunch of "big brothers" (and a big sister or two as well!!)
Regards,
Glenn
p.s. I have a 22 year old son - he has a great '71 Chevy pickup and did I mention that he's single, very smart, very athletic and oh by the way - he's single...."Where the people fear the government you have tyranny. Where the government fears the people you have liberty." John Basil Barnhil
