"Chet" Herbert dies at 81.
Chet Herbert, Drag Racing Hall Of Fame member, was disabled by polio at a young age. He didn't let the wheel chair slow him down. Credited for developing roller cams, the first to use nitro in a dragster, the developer of "zoomie" headers, not to mention famous cam manufacturer and more, died of neumonia at 81.Last edited by HOTRODPAINT; 04-25-2009 at 02:53 PM.

RIP CHET,
Truly one of the greats, a lot of things have come and gone but Chet will always have an impact on hot rodding, a great innovator...... I can still remember getting a Chet Herbert Regrind cam for a whopping 39.99 in high school! He never forgot his roots
Lets not forget him.......
Ok gang. It's been awhile. With everything that was going on taking care of my mom's affairs and making a few needed mods to the Healey, it was June before anything really got rolling on this...
