My 34 has a 10" pusher on the evaporator in front of the radiator and a spal 16" puller on the rear side of the rad. Temps run 180 - 200 even in 100 degree heat sitting in gridlock traffic. I know a lot of people who talk down on pushers but I have had very good luck with my set up. They are unquestionably noiser than a puller. Only change I might make would be to replace the Spal with a cooling components fax/shroud combo.

My 57 Olds just uses the blade that came with it and it does the job well regardless of heat and traffic.

Wish I could use the mechanical fan that is on the engine, unfortunately just not enough room....

Interesting that the pushers are noisier.....wonder why???? Oh well, looks like it's going to be a 16" puller with the thermostatic control and manual override, owner doesn't want an OEM takeout, guess I'll just order the Spal, looks like a quality unit????

Sure do appreciate the input and the assistance.,
