? about installing pvc in vintage cal custom bbc vavle covers

for you guys that have or know bbc cal custom vavle cover, I am wanting to remove the "cal custom" logo to install a pvc valve. I know it can be removed... does it need to be drilled out or just punched out?
    thanks

Had a set that looked like a knockout, but I drilled them just to stay on the safe side.

yuppers, drilling is usually a lot more accurate then a hammer.....

I thought that the "cal custom" logo is just press fit into place, if it is, I would rather ude a round wood dowel & hammer to knock it out, incase I every want to put it back in. but if drilling it out is how they intended you to remove it I will go that route. I was hoping that someone here, has done it, & could tell be for a fact how is the best way to remove it.

All of the Cal Custom covers I've had, big or small block, the "plug" was cast right along with the rest of the cover. Always had to be milled or drilled, never seen one that was a press in plug.
