    Identify these Valve covers

Just picked them up tonight . They are a perfect match for the Ford ones that say Powered by Ford . Only difference is they say pro / stock on them . Can you date them for me or who made them seen a set on ebay tonight .

    Pro/Stock

Pro/Stock was a generic line that came out in the 70's and was sold thru Performance Warehouse Distributors across the country as a low price leader, the products were made by various companies they were only around for a short time and faded away in the early 80's.They were a short line which consisted of plug wires, valve covers and headers,I sold a fair amount of them at first and the quality was good,no comebacks that I can remember .

Jeff Thank You . As I said when set next to the Ford set I have the fins are a perfect match in where they start and end on the covers . They are so perfect they had to come from same mold just with a name change . Thought they were Ford there for a bit .

Bobby those are pretty neat VC's. Original Ford aluminum stuff was cast mainly at the Sheffield foundry in Alabama. Ford also used Buddy Bar and Ansen for various cast alumimnum parts too. Weiand, Edelbrock, Offy, Shelby, Cal Custom and others all sold various aftermarket speed parts and often used the same foundry vendors. So special batch runs were pretty easy to have done with the molds already in house. I've seen a few of those PS covers before too. I like them. One of the rarest bloopers is the Weiand cast FE VC's where the Weiand logo is up side down. Quite a few sets slipped out like that. I've been looking for a set for years. LOL

FFR Thanks to you also , seems just what I thought . Coming from the same mold would answer the twin looks they have .

How much do you think a set of those are worth? They look pretty cool and have a good story.

Wish they made finned ones like that for 460's. Not too many choices there!
