The T's frame
The t's frame is a home made frame, it is made on the order of a "A's" frame, meaning it is pinched in the front and follows the skin of the body.It is not Z'd but the frame ride height is only 4.5" from the ground at it's lowerst point. But the oil pan is 6.5" from the ground, The frame is the lowest thing on the whole car. The floors are even with the bottom of the frame so I can set lower in the car. The frame is made from from 2+5 steel . The car is to be finished as a Rat rod. meaning ruff but strong and safe it will be painted by rattle cans, that way I can change it any time I like.Joe Reid, Stay cool!

The show
The show "Road Rokest Rumble" was GREAT!!!
My "T" drew all kinds of attention, more than I thought it would! Everyone realy seamed to like it and some were totaly amazed at how I built the rear Quater eliptic rear supention.I was only able to find 2 pictures on the internet of a rear quater eliptic suspention, so I looked at them, added some ideas of my own and came up with what I think is a pretty stong set up. Took me 3 times of building and rebuilding it to get it at how I liked it. I was so glad that so many people agreed with it. So I was more than pleased with how the show evnt, I was there for 3 days andnext year I'll be driving it there, God willing.Joe Reid, Stay cool!

set up
Hear is the first try and my rear end set up. it's pretty close to the final one but does have a few trhing differant, the rear end also had 2 split wish bones on the outside of the frame. There is also a picture of the front end, notice at how I braced the spring perch.Joe Reid, Stay cool!

Thanks.
Thanks for all the good feed back guys!! I'm pretty proud of what I've got done so far, can hardly wait till October when I get bacxk on her. Playing with my Corvairs untill then. Dont worry about the welds on the steering, they are only temparay, (just for the show) They will be done the right way this fall. Thanks again guys and I keep you updated as things move along. I can tell you at the age of 58, this will be the last car I build from the ground up. just to much work for me any longer. IF anyone is in the Indy are and wants to hook up please just drop me a line, I'm always looking for more and maytber better ideas. Take care and Stay Cool, JoeJoe Reid, Stay cool!

home made frame
Someone asked what the frame was from. It is a home made fram, made from 2"+5" steel. It was made to fit the body, Hope it works out could and I " think" it will.
