got off my butt today and worked some more on the car/project/thing. I finally have an idea of what it will look like. I sat around for quite a while and kept saying i was going to work on it. then today I did, and didn't want to stop because I remembered how much fun it was. I'm sure I'll be back out there all day tomorrow too. cant wait.

been working on this alot lately. changed a few things. when I sold my suburban, the guy wanted the third seat with it, so I got a pair of second row bucket seats out of a 2002 oldsmobile van from the "previously used stuff yard" and made them fit. had to take out the drive shaft tunnel...didnt like it much anyways...and redid it with sheet metal instead of using the 1x1 tubing. started doing the body some, and like it so far. its really starting to look like a car....at least I think so. I'm not much at body work....never really did any. using 14 gage for the floor pans and fire wall, and 18 gage for the body. when I sit in the seat, the dash is about chin level, so the roof and windshield should only have to be about a foot higher I'll post more pictures soon........seats are not mounted yet...will have a second firewall right behind motor....battery and master cylender, etc will sit inside between 2 walls. thinking about putting a removable plate on the side so I can get to the battery and stuff. just an idea for the grill...want it BIG so it looks big when it comes toward ya. has to have the HUGE headlights too.

Man, what a tank! It's going to be cool, for sure. You need an old Falconer V-12 or one of those GMC V-12s like they put in firetrucks for this baby. Nice work, keep the pictures comin.

Thanks. I'd love to find a V12 or V10...or even an old strait-8. It makes this 390fe look small. My nephews real scared that I wont be able to squeel the tires.. did some more on it today. here's some pictures....

got a chance for a complete V12 Jaguar engine and trans.... $400...older motor, mid 70s fuel injected V12. car was in a fire when new, so low miles...injector parts burned on top, so need replaced. seen the car it's out of. body was never redone after fire, very little damage, so fire wasn't real bad. guy said he couldn't afford replacement parts back then, so he put a V8 in the car. would need to spend alot to rebuild the 390fe anyways, so might get Jag motor on pay day next week. guy said he hasn't told anyone else about it, so it will still be there. My brother says grab it quick...but i don't know much about them. looking around for more info on the net before I decide for sure. any opinions on fuel injected V12 Jag motors?

how about a 534 ford industrial motor, they are huge, this is one car in my opinion that would benefit by putting those 26 inch rims on it, they would be the correct size for this car,

both sound like good ideas, but alot has to do with what I can get cheep. when I was looking for rims, I needed 5 on 5 1/2 ford, and looked on alot of web sites for 19s or bigger, but they were alot more than I had the money for, and I found these 12x15s on craigs list for a little over $100, so I got them. I found this v12 Jaguar motor, and it's only $300 complete...and $100 for the trans. I think I might get it just because it's different. Its pretty light compared to the bigger motors too, I'm thinking. I think headers with 6 pipes on each side will be cool too.......and it says "Jaguar" on the covers.... and it's shiney....lol

Here's a picture of a Jaguar V-12 in a rat rod. Not a good picture, but it might give you an idea of what they look like.
