HGTV reZONED
We watched the premier episode of HGTV reZONED with Tony Frassrand last night
Sunday 8:30 CDT.
They featured an old train station, Church, bank and a ferry that was converted into living spaces.
It was a pretty neat program and I like how it was produced.
It will be interesting to see how our project shows.
Tentative air date is Sunday November 20
Stay tuned

the 36 I recently acquired needs a shop. Maybe by next April, I'll have the Indian paid, and the stepson will buy 'his' house out from under me( 69K$) and then I'll be free to finally get my shop. I am thinking about something with at least two lifts, plus lots of room to work.. so maybe a 5 car shop. Am even toying with the idea of 'renting' out a stall by-the-week. It would be a hassle, but would pay for the mortgage..
Education is expensive. Keep that in mind, and you'll never be terribly upset when a project goes awry.

"The Church started on fire last night and is a total loss!"
WOW, what a shame, it was a neat backdrop to your new place.
BTW, I'm glad they rescheduled the show, I was in Central America in November relaxing and shooting pics of Mayan Ruins. I didn't see ONE HOT ROD or cool garage the whole time I was there
This pic of me was shot in Guatemala at the Mayan ruins called Tikal:

pic
someone shared a pic of his garage and I was drooling over the cathedral ceiling and nice drywall, very stylish.
someday I will redo my drywall job adding insulation, but last year I sided it when I did the house. I just HAD to add a 36" round window above the double garage door for an archetectural statement. Cant wait to finish my car so I can slate tile the floor (would stand up to weld spatter)
DReam garage? I want a stone turret on the corner of my garage with a backhoed underground tunnel into the basement of my house- good for plumbing/sewer connection...

Reminder in case you missed it:
The episode of ReZONED that features our place will be rebroadcast this Sunday at 6PM CST on HGTV.
Then at 8:30 PM ReZONED will feature my neighbors place where he renovated on old blacksmith shop.
Some nice shots of the house, show room and cars...not much of the shop.
In our neighborhood, 2 blocks down the hill was a gas station that (to me) all the cool car guys hung out there. 32 coupes, 33 & 34 Fords as well, a sweet 56 Ford Beach wagon that was setup gasser...
How did you get hooked on cars?
