Some of these garages look like my "cleanick" wife designed them as a showroom. A little too clean for my adventures. One day with me in there and it would never look the same.
Granted the topic was garages not necessarly mechanic garages. I will be adding a 30x40 garage near the house in a few months and always view these discussions with interest.

dmw56, if you dont mind me asking, what do you do as a living?
I love the shop setup, size and the vehicles you have. I'd love to one day have that many cars that are that far along. I have close to that many but none even near completion or drivable....YET.
I'd like to build a shop like yours in the next 3 to 4 years though on a piece of land out here.

I am an Environmental Scientist. No, really and stop laughing! I'm saving the planet by recycling old iron.

I have 1 other completed car, a 65 Rambler in the 3 car attached garage with my wife's cars and 3 others projects waiting stored outside. A 1935 Plymouth 2 door sedan, 1954 Studebaker PU, and a 1938 Chevy PU.

The shop is 40 X 40 with 12' high walls so someday I can get a couple of 4 post storage lifts and a 2 post lift.

If you don't return that truck to Seattle (pm for my home address) I will be fired. Please help a brother out!!
Yeesh,I hope ya dont want me to break the bad news to Mike Tripae down here in New Zealand that someone in Seattle wants his horny old 32 hemi powered truck shipped back up to them..we have enough problems with the natives down here trying to reclaim stuff...

We here in the "Hot Rod recovery dept" are not sure that the truck in your photo ever belonged to the Seattle Engineering Dept. Therefore I have been ordered to request that you send two first class round trip airfare tickets to me (again, PM for home address) so my secretary and I can come to NZ for a thorough inspection of this vehicle. This inspection will take up to one month so accommodation's in a comfortable "batch" will be required. I will also need the use of a hot rod while there.
