That place will be sweet!!! Why is there a Mopar there and not a stude? heh. I still remember how he said that it was going to be on the show on TV and everytime I go by a home show thing I always wonder when it will be on. One day I was watching the same show he want's his on and I thought it was his because they were inside and showed all the windows and downstairs and looked similar to that but then saw the rest and it wasn't his. I think about that place everytime I go by the channels (which is everyday looking for car shows) because I wan't to see the whole place. Ever since I saw your plans on that place that made me wish I would be able to have something like that one day. That is probably the coolest house I have ever seen.... I have seen some houses too like Oprah's homes on VH1 show, etc and even though those things are huge on that show this one beats them all. Good luck with it man. Send some more pics of the inside if you can or have time. I really wan't to see them.www.streamlineautocare.com

Thanks for your help Dave!
FMX,
Yeah the place is really cool! It is a car guys dream come true for sure!
It's been a lot of years and hard work to get to this place. Too bad I'm not about 30 years younger!
I can't begin tell you some of the horrid conditions I've endured to work on cars so this place is gonna seem like Heaven.
FYI: The HGTV "shoot" is scheduled for Spring so the show may not be aired until next Fall. The program is called "Building Character". Some of the homes featured on there are pretty awesome.
Today my brother-in-law and I will be laying tile in one of the rooms down in the shop. Walls are getting painted by my father-in-law.
PS...still no wine cellar...its a "Parts Room"!

Just a suggestion
Jerilynn,
Since you are in the planning stages and I'm not sure how cold it gets in your area...may I suggest heat tubes in the floor before you pour the concrete slab.
My father in law did this and heats it with a 40 gallon water heater. it sure is nice working when the floor is warm and toasty
Caution: Take pictures of the location of the tubes and plan ahead
for things that might be mounted to the floor IE: car lift, Compressor, work benches. You do NOT want to drill holes in the concrete / tubes.
One more suggestion...Lots of electrical outlets!
Oh and go taller than the standard 8' if possible lift is in the future.

A heated floor would be sweet as hell in a shop. Nice black and whtie checkered tile with heat. I would sleep in there then.www.streamlineautocare.com

In our neighborhood, 2 blocks down the hill was a gas station that (to me) all the cool car guys hung out there. 32 coupes, 33 & 34 Fords as well, a sweet 56 Ford Beach wagon that was setup gasser...
How did you get hooked on cars?
