I have been so busy I have not taken any pics of the shop... I'll have to see if I can get around to taking one or two to post here... In the meantime here is a shot of the house a week or two after we finally got moved in... Lately, I have been doing a little landscaping between paint projects, still got a lot to do though...
BTW: took this shot while playing with a Camera DanJ sent me... Thanks, Dan the camera still takes great pics...

I have the business coupe. Can I do a flame job on that program? Also how much is it and will you take a check? If so then let me know and I will send you out a check when I get the info. Can you just do the paint on it or can you change rims, etc? Sorry for all the questions and off topic but I have been wanting to ask you about this and keep forgetting and I have an idea for my car but can't find any other ideas on other cars that I wan't...www.streamlineautocare.com

Bar Top ideas?
We salvaged a hundred year old bar from a tavern that was being renovated across the street.
I want to do something unique on the bar top.
I have a bunch of old car keys, ads, pictures and old titles from the 30's that I'm think'n about embedding in a clear resin on the top.
Am I stupid for putting the titles in there?
Any other ideas on what I might include to keep with the automobilia theme?

GREAT suggestion to include old family photos!
Now I have to go through the family photo albums.
The bar is now in the old "Parts Room" of the old Studebaker dealership that we are renovating.
yes ...we will use it as a bar...already "christened" it!
Thanks

Tom,
The title thing can get a bit touchy. In some states it may not be a problem to "recycle" a title. In our state it's a class C felony. The "recycled" title thing is at the root of the big hubbub in California right now that has prompted the state to recall titles/registration on a goodly number of Cobra folks, and led to the infamous raid on Coddington's, and probably others.
There are legitimate collectors of titles who just want them for display (at least that's what they claim), sorta like expired stock certificates. It's pretty much your call as to whether you want to risk getting involved in any potential problems down the road. I suspect other states will be watching California and copying their crack down. It would make interesting conversation around the bar though.
Another thing to consider is old matchbook covers with an auto theme. You can sometimes find a box load at an antique store or garage sale for not too many dollars. If you can find them the ration stickers from WWII are also neat automotive items. I think they've been repoped too.
Speaking of stock certificates, if you found one for Studebaker that would be cool. I have an old Hudson Motor Co one I would be interested in contributing for the Embedment Cause if you're so inclined.Last edited by Bob Parmenter; 11-22-2004 at 09:10 AM.

In our neighborhood, 2 blocks down the hill was a gas station that (to me) all the cool car guys hung out there. 32 coupes, 33 & 34 Fords as well, a sweet 56 Ford Beach wagon that was setup gasser...
How did you get hooked on cars?
