    Tom,
The title thing can get a bit touchy. In some states it may not be a problem to "recycle" a title. In our state it's a class C felony. The "recycled" title thing is at the root of the big hubbub in California right now that has prompted the state to recall titles/registration on a goodly number of Cobra folks, and led to the infamous raid on Coddington's, and probably others.

There are legitimate collectors of titles who just want them for display (at least that's what they claim), sorta like expired stock certificates. It's pretty much your call as to whether you want to risk getting involved in any potential problems down the road. I suspect other states will be watching California and copying their crack down. It would make interesting conversation around the bar though.

Another thing to consider is old matchbook covers with an auto theme. You can sometimes find a box load at an antique store or garage sale for not too many dollars. If you can find them the ration stickers from WWII are also neat automotive items. I think they've been repoped too.

Speaking of stock certificates, if you found one for Studebaker that would be cool. I have an old Hudson Motor Co one I would be interested in contributing for the Embedment Cause if you're so inclined.

It's much easier to promise someone a "free" ride on the wagon than to urge them to pull it.

Luck occurs when preparation and opportunity converge.
