It's alive!
Got the Model A running. Thanks everyone who answered my questions.
Had major prob with a newedlebrock carb on engine start. Swapped for Holley 700 dbl pump. Got rid of vac leak at manifold (thank you Summit for doing a defect return more than a year after purchase). Holley dbl pump had a bad off idle hesitation. Larger squirtter did not help. Blocking squirtter did. Took Hooley off got a used 600 Edlebrock off Craigs list. Bolted on and was good to go to NSRA Nationals 6 hour drive. Car is too loud to drive long distance even with Dynamat installed. Working on changing mufflers again (from Dyamax and Magnaflows to ?"Chance favors the prepared mind"

I highly recommend the following items that really surprised me as far as quality and performance : Gary Box (Clev Ohio) engine builder 355, GearStar Performance 700R4, Power Master starter, and Lokar Perf shifter, E-brake."Chance favors the prepared mind"

Congratulations, that is really sweet, love the valve covers. Out of curiosity, how are you venting the crankcase? I don't see any breathers or PCV hardware.
PatOf course, that's just my opinion, I could be wrong!

Hey Pat, 283's and 327's had a crankcase vent on the rear of the block behind the oil filter boss .......... we're using the same valve covers on our 327 and using the block vent
Great looking little coupe Heatwave !!!!

Very cool hot rod all the way around. Love the wheels, stance, Vette valve covers, chop...................all of it is good.
In case you haven't done it yet you might want to consider hooking up that vacuum advance............makes a difference in cooling also.

Valve covers are PML. Needed to cover roller rockers. They look stock but are higher. I had them do the optional side hole drilled in pass side cover. Very stealth. Wanted the old school filler tube in front but bought the wrong alt braket for that. May change alt brackets some day to allow intake manifold tube."Chance favors the prepared mind"
