Custom Art
Hey All!
I am thinking about doing custom art work of buddies cars. I work in water color. I have this ideal think I may augment my Build a garage to build my car fund. Do you think there would be a market? People could have their rides immortalize in flat wood pulp and water pigments. What do ya think. I have a sample of my concept for my 48.Can you rebuild a Qjet without breaking a nail?

That is what I am asking. I can creat custome art from the photos of your rides. Do you think anyone would buy? I love my art. All I have to ask is that you don't reject me because I have no degree. Halmark card already has done that! LOLCan you rebuild a Qjet without breaking a nail?

Yes
Yeah I know guys or wives would go for this. There is a guy that does ths kind of thing at a local cruise in Escondido. I found another guy that does it at the swapmeet. I guess they are doing well enough to keep doing it. The prices seemed high though $300 and up per sketch. Check Vince Crain, use a search engine 'cause I don't know the exact address. Later.

Nice work!! It's good to see another artist around here. I do all of my art by hand or on a Macintosh in Adobe Illustrator.
Anyway...just wanted to say great job and don't sweat the fact that you have no degree...neither do I and I've got 13 years on the job as a Graphic Designer. Hang in there and keep up the good work.tmooregraphics.com

prints
Just a thought, if you do typical cars and have the original reprinted you could sell prints cheaper. Not as nice as an one off, but it would cut down the price even more. I will try to get some photos of my buddies Camaro and e-mail to you for consideration of a painting. The concept is the one I like, that car-toon style. Oh yeah, I can rebuild a Q-jet without breaking a nail, what type of nail were you using? I fine it very difficult to break a 16d nail.

Ok gang. It's been awhile. With everything that was going on taking care of my mom's affairs and making a few needed mods to the Healey, it was June before anything really got rolling on this...
