Vegas Super Run '09
So, each year a local promoter puts on the Super Run on the streets of Henderson. Estimated car count today was around 1300......not sure I agree, but it's a good sized show none the less. A nice variety of cars, trucks, bikes, and other auto related "stuff". Here's a sampling of some of what was there.Your Uncle Bob, Senior Geezer Curmudgeon

Very kewl stuff Uncle Bob!!!!! Thanks for the pics!!! At least I found out where all the vintage Poncho tin is hiding, it's in Nevada!!!! That red Star Chief is double throw down drop dead gorgeous (minus the graphic junk cluttering up the paint), Is the white Catalina a dual 4bbl??? Think I only see two air cleaners???? Oh yeah, what's with the red Caddy??? Looks like something I'd want to build!!!!!!!Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, Live for Today!

The white '62 Catalina looked to have all the super duty goodies; dual fours, 4 speed with the spindly shifter, and the Ford truck hood scoop, though no cutout in the hood. Probably a nice clone.
The mini-Cad drew quite a crowd, that's why I took the shot from the rear, got tired of waiting for the sea of people to split. It had a small flathead 4 banger that said Austin on it. I didn't read his sign board, but from the looks of it it was built on a Bantam chassis, thus the Austin power plant. Neat little car.Your Uncle Bob, Senior Geezer Curmudgeon

The Hemi was in a '66 or 7 (didn't look that close) Satellite. Haven't seen any clean '59 Ponchos in awhile, none in this market right now.Your Uncle Bob, Senior Geezer Curmudgeon

Bob,thanks for the pix, good cross section of OTHER models, definitely nothing against VWs at all,in fact, the only 32 I was looking for was the Gray Baskerville car, owned by a friend in Vegas.

Jim was there with the burgundy roadster, it's next to the '34 5 window if you check the background. Don't see him driving the Baskerville car much when I'm here.Your Uncle Bob, Senior Geezer Curmudgeon

Just had another look, So he was ''CLONING'' around then, good on him.
Got to know him last year when he came down on holiday, and stayed here for the AmeriCARna event, along with Lloyd and Anne Wilson from Magoos Street Rods,,then flew to the South Island with another two S.Island rodders, and had a good look around down there too.Jim was shown around a few sheds that a lot of Kiwis would have trouble getting into..and I dont think he spent a cent on accomodation the whole time he was here..An extremely nice guy,and always welcome back..We keep in touch with him when we can.Micah 6:8

Ok gang. It's been awhile. With everything that was going on taking care of my mom's affairs and making a few needed mods to the Healey, it was June before anything really got rolling on this...
