Project POS
Well, I'v had this vision of somthing I'v been wanting to do for a year now, of cutting a square body small truck up, reconstructing the cowl, adding rake to the roof and building a custom hotrod on the small pickup chassis... found a '92 Ranger 4x4 that's solid where I need it.. think I'm getting it for $350.. it's missing all door handles ( coat hanger opens drivers door ). A pilliars are rusted out, but none of that stuff matters.. should be fun to fire up the saws allLast edited by Matt167; 10-07-2009 at 09:58 AM.

Projects like this are pure FUN. Nice not to have to worry about every little part being perfect, you just concentrate on making stuff safe and strong and getting it running.

yupp.. I'm back on the lookout for a diffrent truck tho. the guy wouldn't go lower than $350, it was a 2.3 4cyl 4x4 truck ( rare but this 1 was only worth scrap ). guy couldn't get it running ( would start but not run ). and the rust in the roof was worse than I thought.. but that's ok, I'll pay up to $600 for a rusty but running/driving X cab S10 or Ranger. S10 has the right shape to the cab so it would be better yet. just fill the rear windows in b4 the chop& rakeYou don't know what you've got til it's gone

Ok gang. It's been awhile. With everything that was going on taking care of my mom's affairs and making a few needed mods to the Healey, it was June before anything really got rolling on this...
