the new dash is done
After three weekends it's finally done. lots of trial and error and re-trial, but I think it came out pretty fair. the old dash was just an old pine board that had vinyl shelf paper stuck to it, and the same vinyl in the upper metal portion. the pic of the old dash is from the E-bay ad that I bought the car from. it looks much nicer in the pics than in person (go figure).
new dash is birdseye maple. I got the AM/FM/CD player from replacement radio dot com., where I've bought several units and have always been very satisfied. it's from a late 90s Ford. I prefer the factory type units, and picked this one due to it's small face size.
Cheers,
Lotsa

Thanks! BTW Bob. this car (see avitar) came to Oregon from E. Waterboro, North of you a few months back. I've never seen a more solid original Model A. amazing having been in the NE for much of it's life. We Westerners tend to think we have the only rust free cars, but taint' always so.
Cheers,

That's a beautiful Model A.“Ability is what you're capable of doing. Motivation determines what you do. Attitude determines how well you do it”--Lou Holtz.

Don't know where in OR this kid lives, but he could sure use some help. Maybe you can guide him. Read this thread. Here's the link.Bob

Wow! that poor kid has bitten off a huge chunk as a first project. It could be a very cool car, and you sure don't see many Buick wagons, so I hope this one isn't lost forever. he's in Portland, about 250 miles North of me.

Ok gang. It's been awhile. With everything that was going on taking care of my mom's affairs and making a few needed mods to the Healey, it was June before anything really got rolling on this...
