Street rods are a far cry from restoration. If you are looking to build a hotrod I would start with the want adson the wonderful forum. You could just do a nice web search. personally for me the use I get out of the suday paper is the comics and classifieds the rest is a waiste! You may look into some nice glass or all steal bodies in reproduction. the best part oabout those is that there is little boddy work and no rust! Good luck.
Can you rebuild a Qjet without breaking a nail?

I've never been to SF but I bet I could find ten or twenty street rods for sale in one day. Street rods are everywhere in your part of the country. If you don't know where to look for one then you probably don't know enough to restore one. Buy one that doesn't need restoring you'll be much better off.

What are you looking for? I live in SF and have some good sources if you know what you want. I would be more than happy to point you to the right people.
