Thanks. Yep, I agree on the striping. Hope to run into a good striper at Billetproof at Don Garlits place in October. Just some tasteful lines on the headlights, dash, and trunk lid, I think.

Looking good Don and you can always ask the stripe person to put down some pinksh purple lines to keep your uncle happy. Good to see your little bucket in the door way too, still enjoy using it to the max. and if you are going to challege those two coupes at the drags in October, you may have to take the bcket as you know,Chev eats Fords everytime.

Hey Don ... to be honest ... I tweaked my knee real bad & have been hobbling around the last 3.5 weeks. It just started to stop pounding ..... back on the car next weekend.
I have been sucking up some welding work from my company on the weekends so .... no real time yet.
I'll get it!!!

Yep Whiplash, I use the 23 alot. Every time I have an errand to run I try to take it instead of my daily driver...........it's a lot more fun.
Paul, if it wasn't for bad luck you wouldn't have any at all. Really sorry to hear about the knee. Young guys like you aren't supposed to have those problems, just us old guys. Hope it mends well and quickly.

Young?????? I guess compared to you .... but I wake up every morning with a 52 year old body even though my wife says I'm like a 20 year old (ya right) when I go to bed!!
I'll be back at it soon.
Keep us posted on your progress.

Thanks Steve. The 46 is actually a tudor sedan, and is sitting under a cover in the shop, waiting for me to do something with it. That probably will be the next thing I work on after the 27 is done. I'd like to make that one my daily driver, sbc drivetrain (ala the Camaro ex race car I bought a while back) but with the body kinda left as it is now, patina and all. At least that is the plan for now.

The satin paint looks great Don! Another winner! Pains me to do body work. I'm moving at a snails pace at the moment, but will get some time off this weekend. Steve." "No matter where you go, there you are!" Steve.

Steve, I tell you, I REALLY hate body work and painting. There is nothing fun about it. I think that is the major reason I don't build custom cars like 50 Fords and stuff like that. Too much surface area to work on.

Hey Don,come on, you know that those 50's customs are just too modern for you and your son's. You will have to start another build thread on the '46 but just give the title a bit of thought so that people can't give you sh*t. I like the sound of what you have planned for it but yes that can always change.
I wanted to complain about this NZ slang business, but I see it was resolved before it mattered. LOL..
