We all know that mounting a SBF in a A is a challenge unless you make the frame longer or really recess the fire wall. First I wanted to run a mechanical fan but that was out from the length . So I located a 94 - 95 Mustang short water pump serpentine belt drive .
Well then the 37 came along and all the parts I wanted was in the 31 . So back went the the long water pump . Now It will run a electric fan . Second change was i pulled the 5 spd and installed a AOD from a 88 Mustang . The TV cable has been a chore but I have it down now to what will work .
The AOD is coming close got the right TV cable for the throttle valve and fuel is soon .

My oldest son Jeremiah cutting out the old motor mounts . Done with a 110V lincoln welder , flux core , I did 45 degree the metal before it was welded .

On the stands again and changing out the rear end to another one i have . If I had been able to corral 2 neighbors would have rather had the body on the dolly . Busy season yet so soon for that.
First and only reason to tack things in until the final build. Even after 2 years I am changing out the rear end if i would have welded the link mounts on solid I would be getting new ones .

Nice stance, nice chop, nice job ....... wheels?? Are you going to mount the fuel tank out back ala '32 ford? That'd fill the M/T space betwen rear fenders & lower rear body line.
Are you selling this??

Regs I am getting it going to sell . Projects are dead at the moment maybe offers will be better having a driver if not I have the title and will just sit on it .
Also I want to get going on the 37 I bought last year much bigger car and easy to get in and out off.
The fuel tank is clean so I will have it boiled and sealed .Last edited by bluestang67; 01-03-2010 at 09:26 AM.

Sweet work Blustang, very cool, you have her looking cool. I too like the stance and your going to sell her huh? You say she is hard to get in and out of? Hard for a 6'r huh? Anyway, nicely done."Sunshine, a street rod and a winding beautiful Ozarks road is truely Bliss!"

Tony glad to hear from ya ,
Well this is the plan 2 car garage and 3 cars . Wife jumped in when I mentioned moving the Mustang so I picked one . The 31 is a tight fit for me at 6 ft LOL I do like to be comfortable , since I have a bad back . Now kicking the seat way back works out some still a very tight door for me at a mere 26 inches with the door open . Kinda like trying to crawl into that box we played in as kids .
Also since You have been recouping this slid in when I sold the BB Mustang Fastback a year ago .

Kids in the back seat may cause accidents, accidents in the back seat may cause kids, so no back seat, no accidents...!

MLW that was the theme all Ford , the steering I do have some wood dolls and some pin & block universals to figure out the routing .
The making it look easy was with the advice of a lot of board members here . They are the one's who guided me through what you see . Also I did make mistakes and redid them , don't really think I could start one and not have any , many variables here .
