Bought this off ebay from a dealer for Direct Sheet metal and pic was right one but part # was wrong . Called direct sheet metal to ask about it , They said its the wrong part # and would fix for me free of charge . He also said his dealers have a common pic up not showing the real parts to part # .
His businessmen concept for helping was too good , So i ordered the next 2 pieces to help me out . I have no brake to bend any metal I could buy .

woo hoo got my frame back
Got the frame back from blaster today he did a great job . I did do some extra grinding to lower down the small amount of pitting that was in it .
Made the trip down to Farm & Fleet also and picked up a gallon of Valspar Satin Black . Its a anti rust armor paint should keep frame around another 80 years .

Ken actually haven't really sanded it yet . It is just a real clean frame . I hit it with some 60 grit then I used the DA with 80 on it . The fill andf sand will wear down some finger tips .

The frame is really coming out smooth looking Bobby, the blaster did a great job too!!! Fill and sand works really great on the old frames, a bit of smoothing and nice paint goes a long ways towards achieving the "fit, finish, and detail" results that most of us strive for!!! Takes a bit more time and a few more $$$ to do it right, but it sure is worth it!!!!! Keep up the great work Bobby, gonna be a way kewl ride!!!!Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, Live for Today!

Nice build. I'm partial to A-bones myself. I also like the idea of using vinyl on the roof. When I did my A, I installed all new wood, then a layer of chicken wire, then a layer of fiberglass mat. That totally eliminated any balooning. With a 454 in my A, I didn't want the roof turning into a luffing sail.
On a test run at a little north of 118 mph at Scribner Dragway (Nebraska), it didn't even flutter.
Unfortunately, with kids heading to college and a thin wallet, I had to sell it back in the late 80's.Jack

I wanted to complain about this NZ slang business, but I see it was resolved before it mattered. LOL..
