In the good/bad old days,we could get away with building a hotrod LHD,but that was stamped on pretty quickly, after the first few hit the road,,It must have been the beginning of PC nonsense, but it got slammed..Even now,its hard to bring in a hotrod from the US,as a few have found..An example...a couple of years ago,a guy from here in New Plymouth, bought a 32 roadster in California, did a couple of events, loaded it into a container and brought it home...Kool,left hook roadster cruisin Taranaki...oops,cant get it road legal here..Appears it was built in about 2001 or thereabouts, has a repro body, not a genuine article...Has to conform with auntie NZ,s road laws. So,it has to be converted to right hand drive, probably needs collapsible column, and all other items necessary for an American import of that age,to be legally allowed on the road..Big can of worms with many ''ifso,s and wherefores,etc...
Basically,we can import any vehicle under 3500kg,more than 20 years old,and get it road legal here,in LHD form, but, after that, lotsa fun.
But this ones in Aussie,so its even harder,,and yes,I think it may be street driven..Micah 6:8
If we aren't supposed to have midnight snacks,,,WHY is there a light in the refrigerator???
