how much can I channel this?
I keep pondering this and I'm convinced it has to be done. it's just too 'tall' now. I'm thinking 4" is a safe amount, but I think I could go farther.. sitting ontop the frame the seats need to be 12" raised for me to have the correct view thru the windshield, also, the rear window is a bit too far up and anything sitting behind it will look akward.. 4" will bring things down into proportion a little better, but if I could do 6" that would be better.. I'm just not sure how far I can go

The only limitation you have on a channel job is-- Interior room and the scrubline. Take those two into consideration and you are fine.
Now looking at your body I would think to get the proportions right you need something like 6" at least. But also keep in mind that the Interior room can disappear quickly.
RSProtected people will never know or understand the intensity life can be lived at. To do that you must complettly and totally understand the meaning of the word "DUCK"

theres more than enough interior room.. as it sits ontop the body, the seats will need a 12" riser.. channeling will just change how much of a riser I need.. guess iI'll have to measure for the scrub line.. 6" would actually be perfect. It'll have the in- da weeds look and I'll have to make sure b4 I do any cutting. I think it'll work thoLast edited by Matt167; 03-22-2010 at 07:01 AM.

Ok gang. It's been awhile. With everything that was going on taking care of my mom's affairs and making a few needed mods to the Healey, it was June before anything really got rolling on this...
