    Windshield radio antennas

Does anyone have experience or recommendations for a windshield mount radio antenna? I am looking for something I can mount right in front of the rear view mirror and then run the wiring under the interior windshield trim down into the dash. I have been looking at items like this one.

had a 76 t/a with the windshield ant. it was ok but did not work as well as a regular ant.driving in the mountain i would lose signal.but had a tape deck so just pop in a tape and rock.

I asked about one of those before I installed the rear quarter version I now have and the individual stated that town reception was ok, but out in the country, facing away from the radio station antenna, pretty poor, particularly FM, which is supposedly line of sight. Guess that's the reason GM no longer uses them

i have used that one several times and was satisfied. it worked well on the 56 big window and we don't get the best reception here anyway.
