The Heidt's are 5/8 narrower per side. Another alternative is a set of "shallower" hubs and rotors, look at ECI brakes for examples. Another option is to check with Rocket and see if the offer custom offsets by special order.

It's much easier to promise someone a "free" ride on the wagon than to urge them to pull it.

Bart,
You are within 1/2" of their "recommended" rim width, which is not going to be a problem. The tire may be slightly harder to seat on the rim initially, but I doubt you'll notice much, if any difference between a 5.5" and 6" rim. I strongly agree, I would not consider cutting up the fenders until you exhaust all other options.Roger
Enjoy the little things in life, and you may look back one day and realize that they were really the BIG things.

i have been runing a tire that can go on a 8 inch rim to 10 thats on a 7 it pulls the side wall in i been doing this for years on my GTO it a rear dot sticky tire i can not find a rim in a 8 like my front s and it helps with pulling in the side wall i have just a wee bit of roll up on the foot print but not much to talk about .never lost a tire .but going in to a cornner it hi speed and on the front if you go to small of rim you could roll tire off the rim . i have the same thing on a car were i need about 3/4 inch i was looking at putting the rim in the lathe triming off 1/2 of the hub part of the rim and checking how thick the brake hub / hat and taking it off there if there to takeIrish Diplomacy ..the ability to tell someone to go to Hell ,,So that they will look forward to to the trip
