My '51 Stude Build
Hi all:
I'm new here and I see there are several posts on Studebakers! Some really nice cars and good workmanship too.
I have one too. I originally purchased the car in 1965 built it up with a Dodge V8 and torqueflite transmission. I did not have a lot of funds then, (I was in college), so it wasn't real fast, but I had a lot fun with it and made a lot of good friends. I sold it in 1970 as I had gone on active duty in the Navy. I soon regretted selling it but was not in a position to do anything about it. However, 23 years later, the car literally dropped in my lap. It is absolutely the same car. It needed a lot of work, but it is now nearly finished. It now has a '68 Camaro front clip, a Blown 350 with a TH 400 trans backed up by a GV overdrive. A narrowed 12 bolt holds up the rear of the car. It will primarily be a Street Rod, so It will have some creature comforts.

I finally fixed that annoying noise in the car. I just opened the door at 60mph and pushed him out. .
