    Is it Summer yet???

Gorgeous weather around here the last couple weeks, but not up to "summer quality" yet. I love warm weather, brings out all the kewl Hot Rods and Scooters!

    Just curious what everyone else had planned or has set for goals for the Summer? Mine are;

    1. Get my pickup done in the next few weeks and at least have something to cruise in for awhile.

    2. Get the Plymouth off to the paint shop so I can get it back in time to put things together and get Walt some quality cruise time for the summer.

    3. Get the 'maro done and sold

    4. Get my Ranchero sitting on all four.

    Whatcha got planned????

Well Dave, we are heading into our winter months down under and this should be all rodders busy time out in the shed, but,but but I guess you can imagine all of the excuses as to why we ain't out working on them cars. I purchased the smallest bear claw catches I have ever seen this week for the T and now only have to purchase some more rectanglar steel to frame up my doors. I managed to buy some hinges that are made in England that look almost exact to the '32 ford roadster hinges for the doors earlier this month so once I have every thing, there should be no excuse for not having the bodywork completed over winter. I have decided that I MUST have the car back on the road for our next summer even if the paint and upholstery is not finished as I have missed going out on runs etc in it.

Heck, and all other swear words that one shouldn't know!!!! I went to Rocket Speed Equipment and there where three types, the larger ones had exterioral and interior door handle things, the next had just interior handle and the ones I purchased are just 25mm wide x 80mm and have a simple little pull up latch to open them. But they cost $149.00 for the pair and are not to sure where they are made, I believe they are made in the USA by the finish of them. The hinges I got from TWL and am very pleased with them.

I don't know what season it is here Dave. It snowed here yesterday morning ....I don't recall reading anything that crap in the AZ travel brochures!!!! By the afternoon I was mowing the yard.

Hopefully get the mockup done on the El Camino in the next few weeks then take it apart and ship the body off to make it straight while I build the engine and transmission.
I've NEVER seen a car come from the factory that couldn't be improved.....

    Dave,
I'm going to finish up an all the things to get the Dearborn tuned properly, then tear it apart for paint and upholstery and try to have it back together for the GNRS.
Finish up the steering and fill the roof in my sedan so I can take it apart and have it re powder coated in primer.
I'm going to build the complete frame in the new '32 truck project, the pieces should be here in the next 2 weeks.
That's it, we'll see how far I get
    Ken

I will continue working on my truck. Want to finish the new shifter install and work on completing the wiring. After that I'd like to get the exhaust installed and the truck painted. It's a matter of finances mixed with free time. I really want to get it on the road though! I also have all the glass so it's possible that I may get that installed after the cab is painted.
It always gets stuck on hold when we experience rain, since I don't want the primered body to get any more moisture on it than necessary. All of the areas that have been taken to metal are at least primed with epoxy primer!
