    LFD's Coupe build

To start off with let me say this will be a slow build being done around customer builds, and my family time.

I have not completely decided on the final rendering but it will be of a chopped tail dragging 3W. The size will be about the same as a 36 3W but with my own taste and design. It is going to run a 93 Lincoln Mark VIII 4.6L quad cam motor and AOD. I have not decided if I am going to run the lincoln IRS and MII front or a 94 C4 vett IFS and IRS set up I have as well.

This is a 35 frame I picked up along with the titled 36 frame I will use for the final driver. This 35 frame was to far gone to put on the road but will make a great build platform for my bucks and jigs. Then one shot of the mock up firewall I made tonight and a pic of my son from a car show today, he's the one on the right

I love tail draggin 36-37-38 Fords. Wasn't it Westergard who did a few of those? Keep us in the loop on how it is going.

Anxious to see this one come together, very interested in how your engine selection works out! I've seen some terrific horsepower numbers from the DOHC engine, and at the same time they retain excellent street manners! Anyway, the whole car sounds like you're not copying anyone's style so it's already gotta be one I like!!!!

Here is the start of the sub rails. I picked up (2) 4x10 sheets of 16 & 18G CRS and (7) 4x10 sheets of 19G AKDQ along with a lot of misc sticks or 1/2x1/2 square and round stock, 1/8" & 1/4" rod and so on to start getting the shape set and then real work can begin.
